Willie Winslow Buycks was born on December 8th, 1946, in Blythe, CA. He passed away in Hemet, CA on June 26th, 2026, at the age of 79.

Willie was raised in the city of Watts, California. He faced loss before anyone should due to losing his father at an early age, and was raised by a beautiful and strong woman - his late mother, Elsie. After graduating high school, he eventually developed a desire for a career in construction. Staying true to his driven and determined nature, he perfected his craft and began his own business - Willie's Custom Cabinets, which he owned and operated for over thirty years.

To know Willie Buycks was to love him. He was always the life of the party, always had the ability to make people smile. He was a solid foundation for the people he loved, not just offering a helping hand, but would show up without warning with the tools to do the job. A man of many lives, he traveled well, he was an amazing swimmer, and an avid reader. Someone who knew a little something about everything, you could always come to him for advice. He was passionate about his beliefs, and showed that in his actions. He laughed as if life never gave him a hard time and he loved as if he'd never been betrayed.

Willie is survived by his brothers, Jerry, Hank, Steve, and Glenn - as well as his sisters, Candy and Gloria. His six children; daughters Monette Buycks, Charlene Buycks, Zimika Buycks, Shinda Buycks, Joleen Buycks-Hall, and son Willie W. Buycks Jr. His extended daughters, Khristi Patterson, Vennetta Gamble, Charity Dunnam and son Darrell Estrada. His son-in-laws, Terry Hall and Marcelle Jones. As well as his eleven grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and many more.

Willie's absence will be felt in all of our lives, but his love will always reside in our hearts.
